Japanese PM departs for S Korea for bilateral summit

TOKYO, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso departed early Sunday for Seoul on a two-day visit to South Korea.
During his stay in Seoul, Aso is scheduled to hold talks with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak on Monday to boost cooperation amid the ongoing financial crisis as well as on issues concerning the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The two sides are also to confer on issues such as the reopening of stalled negotiations for a bilateral economic partnership agreement.
