The Alliance of Plastics Processors (APP) is accepting applications for International Plastics Design Competition (IPDC), which will co-locate with NPE2009 on June 22-26, 2009, at Chicago's McCormick Place. IPDC will be the first competition by APP, and would be open to innovative products from any country in the world and for use in any end-user market. Designers, processors, mould makers, material suppliers, OEMs, and other parties involved in the development of an innovative product should enter the product in the competition until April 1, 2009.

Kevin Brady, chairman, IPDC planning committee and the US sales director for L K Machinery Co said, "Their most innovative accomplishments will be on display at a special IPDC pavilion in the West Hall of McCormick Place, which is certain to be a prime attraction for the 75,000 industry professionals expected to attend NPE 2009."

An expert panel of judges will examine product entries immediately and awards will be presented in a number of categories based on the overall achievement, end-user market, sustainability and emerging technologies, etc.
