Fiberglass filter media for air filtration was obtained in the United States in October 1940. In the 1950s, the United States conducted in-depth research on the production process of glass fiber filter paper, so that the air filter has been improved and developed. In the 1960s, HEPA filter was invented, so our purification table passed through HEPA filter, and the filtration efficiency was greatly improved. The HEPA filter with fine glass fiber filter paper as the filtration medium has a filtration efficiency of 99.9998% for particles with a particle size of 0.13 micron. Since the 1980s, with the emergence of new testing methods, the improvement of the use evaluation and the improvement of the filtration performance requirements, serious problems were found in the HEPA filter, and the UL PA filter with higher performance was produced. At present, the filtration efficiency of the purification table with this filter is improved greatly.
Significant progress has been made in the design of the filter itself, among which the important one is the removal of the separator, that is, the development of the filter without separator. The clapeless filter not only eliminates the danger of the clapboard damaging the filter medium, but also effectively increases the filtration area, improves the filtration efficiency, and reduces the airflow resistance, thus reducing the energy consumption. In addition, the air filter in high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and waterproof, anti-bacteria and other aspects have also made great progress to meet some special needs.
