The main applications of secondary biosafety cabinets

The main function of a secondary biosafety cabinet is to provide protection for laboratory personnel, environment, and experimental samples. This safety cabinet is a common equipment in laboratories, which can provide protection for both experimenters and experimental samples. Suitable for handling moderately harmful microorganisms, such as some pathogens that may be transmitted through the air. The BSC-II biosafety cabinet is a fully ventilated device in which no air circulates inside the cabinet, thus providing basic biological and chemical protection. The key component of these safety cabinets is the HEPA filter, which is responsible for removing harmful biological aerosols that may be generated during operation to protect the laboratory environment and personnel safety.
