Bio-cleaning benches are designed to protect laboratory personnel and research samples from damage

The biological purification workbench is to protect laboratory personnel and research samples from damage, but it has certain requirements for the laboratory environment and placement. Therefore, the equipment needs to be properly installed and placed in a specific area.

1. Do not place the clean bench near any common air sources in the laboratory, including vents, personnel passages, or doors. Placing near one of these sources may disrupt airflow in the biosafety cabinet, increasing the risk of cross-contamination.

2. Ensure that the outflow area of the bench exhaust filter is not placed under or near any ceiling exhaust or air intake in the room. The outflow area of the exhaust filter on top is very susceptible to disruptive airflow, which can affect exhaust and incoming air, disturb air balance and cause unsafe working conditions. If the airflow is strong enough, the appropriate inflow velocity of the biological safety cabinet can be exceeded, which can lead to the entry of contaminated indoor air into the work area.

3. It is suitable for biological safety cabinets with more toxic chemicals that require exhaust hoods. The placement of the biodecontamination bench is important here because you need to ensure the location of the cabinet so that the exhaust can easily extend to the top of the equipment roof exhaust transition. You'll also want to make sure you have 6 inches of space on each side of the cabinet for maintenance. The power socket connected to the workbench should also be easily accessible as the power plug acts as an emergency disconnect and should not be blocked.

 

Maintenance of biological purification workbench:

1. According to the actual use, the primary filter should be removed and cleaned regularly. The cleaning cycle is generally 3 to 6 months.

2. When the ideal cross-sectional wind speed cannot be achieved after normal replacement or cleaning of the primary air filter, the working voltage of the fan should be adjusted to achieve the ideal uniform wind speed. The working voltage of the fan can be adjusted to 80V~90V.

3. After 18 months of general use, when the working voltage of the fan is adjusted to a high point, and the ideal wind speed has not been reached, it means that there is too much dust in the high-efficiency air filter. The holes on the filter material have been basically blocked and should be updated in time.

4. When replacing the high-efficiency air filter, pay attention to the correct model, specification and size, install the equipment according to the arrow wind direction, and pay attention to the sealing around the filter
