There are four basic types of digital output modules:
1 Supervisory Digital Output Module 2 DC voltage digital
output module 3 AC voltage digital output module 4 dual channel DC digital output module,
each digital output module contains three identical separate circuits isolated from each other.
Each sub-circuit contains an IOP microprocessor that receives its output table from the IOC communication processor on the corresponding main processor.
All digital output modules, with the exception of the dual-channel DC module,
use “Quad output voting”,
which votes on individual output signals just before they are sent to the load.

This voting circuit is based on a parallel serial path,
which is passed by a vote of two out of three
when either a and B, or B and C, or a and C are closed.
The dual-channel digital output module has a single serial channel,
and the two-for-three voting process acts on each switch separately.
Quadrilateral output voting circuits provide multiple redundancy for all critical channels,
ensuring security and maximum utilization.
The dual-channel output module gives just enough redundancy to ensure safe operation.
The dual-channel output module is more suitable for critical safety situations
where low cost is more important than maximum utilization.
