The difference between a hood and an anemometer



Customers often ask: is the wind hood and anemometer the same product? What is the difference between a hood and an anemometer?



First of all, the wind hood and anemometer are two completely different products.



1. The air volume cover is an instrument used to measure the air volume flowing through various air outlets and diffusers and to measure the air volume at the return air outlets. It is mainly composed of the air volume cover body, base and support rod.



The volume hood is mainly used to trap the tuyere, collecting the volume like a large horn, and concentrating the wind onto the average wind speed sensor on the base. The wind pressure sensor is installed on the uniform wind speed, the sensor will reflect the change of wind speed, and adopt the pitot tube principle, the wind pressure into the multi-point, multi-point automatic detection, according to the size of the base to calculate the air volume, generate the average wind volume (m3/h). The display of the air volume cover adopts PDA and the large LCD display is intuitive, so that the data of wind speed, wind temperature and air volume can be obtained directly, and the recording time interval can be set for continuous parameter recording, so as to facilitate the data analysis (Ach-II, the new air volume cover of Hongrui Technology, can automatically convert the wind speed by inputting the size of the air inlet).



Anemometer is the basic function of measuring wind speed, can be widely used in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, environmental protection, meteorology, clean workshop, chemical fiber textile, wind speed laboratory and other occasions of instruments.



Use of anemometer: The velocity measurement range of 0 to 100m/s can be divided into three sections: low speed :0 to 5m/s; Medium speed: 5 to 40m/s; High speed: 40 to 100m/s. The thermosensitive probe of the anemometer is used for accurate measurement of 0 to 5m/s; The impeller type probe of anemometer measures the velocity of 5 to 40m/s zui is ideal; With pitot tubes, zUI results can be achieved at high speeds. An additional criterion for the proper selection of the velocity probe for anemometers is temperature, which is normally used for thermal sensors of anemometers up to about ±7℃. The impeller probe of the special anemometer can reach 35℃. Pitot tubes are used above ±35℃.



Anemometer is generally single point measurement, sometimes a tuyere to measure more than one point, or even more than a dozen points, through the cross-sectional area conversion can get the average wind speed, so some customers in the selection of wind volume cover, but the specific choice should be judged according to the actual environment.
