Vacuum drying box principle

Why do you have to vacuum and then heat up, instead of heating and then vacuuming?



1) the workpiece is put into the empty box to vacuum in order to remove the gas components that can be removed from the workpiece material. If the workpiece is heated first, the gas will expand when heated. Due to the good sealing of the real empty case, the great pressure generated by the expanding gas may cause the tempered glass of the observation window to burst. This is a potential danger. This danger can be avoided by following the procedure of first vacuuming and then heating.



2) if the procedure of heating and then vacuuming is followed, when the heated air is extracted by the vacuum pump, the heat will inevitably be brought to the vacuum pump, resulting in a high temperature rise of the vacuum pump, which may reduce the efficiency of the vacuum pump.



3) the heated gas is directed to the vacuum pressure gauge, which generates a temperature rise. If the temperature rise exceeds the operating temperature range specified by the vacuum gauge, the gauge may produce indication error.



Proper use should first vacuum and then heat up. After reaching the rated temperature, if the vacuum degree is found to be decreased, then the appropriate pumping. It is beneficial to extend the service life of the equipment.
