How to calculate the amount of air needed in a dust-free workshop

No matter when we are doing the ventilation design of dust-free workshop or ordinary workshop, we usually have to involve a concept -- air volume, which is the air volume of air flow organization needed in this activity space. Users will also wonder how much ventilation is appropriate, how to calculate the amount of air needed in the selected space? Here's how to count air volume:







1. Before determining the amount of air needed for a space, we must first understand another concept: what is the number of air changes? If a room has an area of 100 square meters and a height of 3 meters, the volume of this house is 300 cubic meters. If we send in 300 cubic meters of fresh outdoor air every hour, and emit 300 cubic meters of dirty indoor air, we say that the room has one change of air.







2. There are two ways to calculate the amount of air needed in the designed space: one is to calculate the amount of new air needed per person per hour; the other is to calculate the number of air changes needed in the space.







(1) according to the new air volume per person per hour need to calculate, is determined according to the number of indoor activities often, such as dust-free workshop housekeeping activities personnel 10 people, then calculating the number of is ten, the regulations of the state, ensure that each person should not less than 30 cubic meters of the air volume, then the 10 operations of the production workshop, and room need air volume per hour is not less than 300 cubic meters.







(2) according to the number of air changes, generally speaking, the number of air changes in family houses is 1-2 times per hour, and the number of air changes in public places is 3-5 times per hour due to the large flow of people and logistics. Please refer to the current requirements of gb50736-2012 design code for heating, ventilation and air regulation of civil buildings. For special industries, such as hospital operating room, intensive care unit, laboratory, dust-free workshop, etc., the required new air volume should be determined according to the relevant national standards and the requirements of clean room industry standards, and at the same time, the appropriate margin should be included.
