Application and classification of centrifuges

A centrifuge is a mechanical device that primarily performs solid-liquid, liquid-liquid, or solid-liquid separation under the action of centrifugal force. The rotor is the main component of a centrifuge, installed on a rotating vertical or horizontal axis to achieve separation under the action of centrifugal force. The separation factor is the main indicator of the separation performance of a centrifuge, which is the ratio of centrifugal force to gravity acting on the material, equal to the ratio of centrifugal acceleration to gravitational acceleration. There are various classifications for it.
1. According to structure, it can be divided into flat centrifuge, tripod centrifuge, tube centrifuge, disc centrifuge, and horizontal screw centrifuge.
2. According to the separation method, it can be divided into sedimentation centrifuge and filtration centrifuge.
3. According to the unloading method, it can be divided into upper unloading centrifuge, lower unloading centrifuge, and spiral unloading centrifuge.
4. According to production capacity, it can be divided into small centrifuges and large centrifuges.
5. Divided by purpose: biological centrifuge, pharmaceutical centrifuge, chemical centrifuge, food centrifuge, cell centrifuge, and other classifications. In addition, there are various industrial centrifuges, such as automatic centrifuges, continuous flow centrifugal machines, slag discharge centrifuges, slag removal centrifuges, and two-stage drum centrifuges.
