What problems should be paid attention to in the construction of biosafety laboratory
Core tips: The classification of biosafety laboratory is based on the degree of harm of the experimental object. Generally, the biosafety laboratory is divided into four levels, of which the first level has the lowest requirements for biosafety isolation, and the fourth level
Classification of biosafety laboratories
According to the degree of harm of the experimental object, the biosafety laboratory is generally divided into four levels, of which the first level has the lowest requirements for biosafety isolation, the fourth level has the highest, and the biosafety laboratory is generally divided into four levels. Among them, Level 3 and Level 4 belong to high-level biosafety laboratories, sometimes referred to as biosafety clean rooms, namely, P3 and P4 laboratories.
P1 laboratory: basic laboratory, suitable for low harm to human body, animals and plants or the environment, without pathogenic factors to humans, animals and plants.
P2 laboratory: basic laboratory, applicable to pathogenic factors with moderate or potential hazards to human body, animals, plants or the environment, which will not cause serious harm to people, animals and the environment, and has effective prevention and treatment measures.
P3 laboratory: protective laboratory, which is suitable for handling pathogenic factors that are highly harmful to human body, animals, plants or the environment, which can infect people with serious or even fatal diseases through direct contact or aerosol, or highly harmful to animals, plants and the environment, usually with preventive and therapeutic measures.
P4 laboratory: the highest level of protection laboratory, which is applicable to pathogenic factors that are highly hazardous to human body, animals, plants or the environment, and are transmitted through aerosol or have unknown or highly dangerous transmission routes. There are no preventive and therapeutic measures. For example, Ebola virus.
Pay attention to engineering inspection
After the completion of the biosafety laboratory, it should first be tested by a state-authorized testing agency, which is a very important link. The test contents should include the tightness of the laboratory, the negative pressure value between the rooms, the air flow direction, the leakage detection of the high-efficiency filter, the cleanliness level, the automatic control system and other aspects.
Other precautions
It is strictly prohibited to build the biosafety laboratory into a positive pressure laboratory, install fire dampers according to regulations, replace the biosafety cabinet with a purification workbench, and replace the room exhaust with the exhaust of the safety cabinet. The working principle and purpose of the ordinary purification workbench and the biosafety cabinet are completely different, which can not protect the human body from microbial infection at all, which is very dangerous.
