The working principle of microbial limiter

Microbial limiter is widely used in research units, inspection and quarantine institutions, quality control institutions, natural mineral water industry, drinking water industry, pharmaceutical industry, beverage industry and other departments of the filter membrane method of microbial detection, suspended solids detection, sample purification of the suction filter equipment. Its principle is the vacuum pump to form a negative pressure environment, the liquid sample to be tested through the filtration of the microporous filter membrane, the microbe or solid less than the filter membrane micropores separated, in order to the next step of detection and analysis. Microbial limit test (1) Sterility check of Chinese and western drugs for injection and LVP; (2) Microbial limit test, used for oral Chinese and western medicine, cosmetics, food, health food and other miscellaneous bacteria count, can be used for semi-solid, suspension, solid and other samples inspection; (3) Examination of bacteria in clinical laboratory body fluids, examination of blood products and veterinary pharmaceutical products; (4) Sterilization and filtration of a small amount of test materials.

Four major application aspects of microbial limiter:

1. Pharmaceutical: microbial limit inspection of purified water, water for injection, API and oral liquid, tablets, capsules, biological products and preparations;

2. Disease control: check the total number of bacteria and pathogenic bacteria in water quality such as air conditioning condensate and drinking water;

3. Food: check the total number of colonies in food and beverage, mineral water and purified water;

4. Chemical industry: water sample detection of various microorganisms to be tested.

The filter element is the core part of the microbial limit instrument. The filter element is composed of special materials, which is suitable for damage and needs special protection. When removing impurities, pay special attention to the precision filter element, shall not be deformed or damaged, otherwise the purity of the filtered medium installed on the filter element cannot meet the design requirements.
