Ten questions and answers from the oscilloscope are helpful to you.

In life, oscilloscopes will inevitably encounter problems, for these problems, most of us are tied up to measure, come down to give you a specific introduction to some of the problems encountered in life.
1. How to use the oscilloscope to test and analyze the reliability of a finished product?
Answer: Oscilloscope has already become one of the most effective tools for detecting electronic circuits. By observing the voltage and current waveforms of the key nodes of the lines, we can intuitively check whether the lines are working properly and verify whether the design is appropriate. This is very helpful to improve reliability. Of course, the correct analysis and judgment of waveforms depends on the experience of engineers themselves.
2. What are the main factors determining the price of oscilloscope probe?
Answer: There are many kinds of oscilloscope detectors, with different performances, such as high voltage, differential, active high-speed detectors, and so on. The price ranges from hundreds of RMB to nearly 10,000 US dollars. The main determinants of price are, of course, bandwidth and functionality. The probe head is the part of oscilloscope contact circuit. A good probe can provide the fidelity needed for debugging. In order to achieve this, there must be a lot of passive device compensation circuits (RC networks) inside even passive detectors.
3. How long is the life of the general oscilloscope probe? Does the probe need to be calibrated periodically?
Answer: The life of the oscilloscope probe is difficult to say, depending on the environment and method used.
The standard does not specify the measurement of the probe, but for passive probe, at least when the probe is replaced and the channel of the probe is exchanged, the compensation adjustment of the probe must be carried out. All active probes should be preheated for at least 20 minutes before they are used. Some active probes and current probes need to be adjusted by zero drift.
4. What is the real-time sampling rate of an oscilloscope?
Answer: The real-time sampling rate is the reciprocal of the sampling interval of the first acquisition (one trigger) of the indicator wave. It is understood that the highest level of the industry is the simultaneous use of four channels.
5. What is the equivalent time sampling of an oscilloscope?
Answer: Equivalent time sampling means that the oscilloscope assembles the waveforms collected by multiple acquisitions (multiple triggers) into one waveform. Each sampling rate may be very slow. The trigger points of two acquisitions have a certain offset. The reciprocal of the minimum sampling interval between the two points is called the equivalent sampling rate. Its index can reach a high level, such as 1ps.
6. What is the power factor and how to measure it?
Answer: Power factor: In DC circuit, voltage multiplied by current is active power. But in AC circuit, voltage multiplied by current is apparent power, and part of the power that can work (active power) will be less than apparent power. The ratio of active power to apparent power is called power factor, which is expressed in COS_. In fact, the simplest way to measure is to measure the phase difference between voltage and current, and the result is power factor.
7. How to express and debug power density?
Answer: Power density is the power per unit volume. W/in3 is usually used in power supply.
8. Is there any way to use oscilloscope to measure the working condition of high frequency transformer or inductor core?
Answer: There is a function in TEK's power debugging scheme - the analysis of B-H curve, which can reflect the working state of the magnetic core, and can also measure the dynamic inductance value, and get the core loss.
9. There are many kinds of noise in switching power supply, such as cross-interference caused by unreasonable wiring, inductance leakage, reverse peak of diode, etc. which cause noise. How to distinguish it with oscilloscope?
Answer: The TDS5000 oscilloscope of TEK has the frequency domain analysis and the analysis of the frequency band of the noise can analyze the types of the noise, so the corresponding processing method can be used. The oscilloscope can only provide data analysis and band display.
10. How can the oscilloscope be used to adjust the radiation of the starting power supply?
Answer: There is radiation interference in switching power supply. The general practice is to find out the interference source and then shield it. The frequency components of the oscilloscope can be analyzed by the function of Fourier transform, and the types of interference can be judged according to the frequency range.
