Oscilloscopes are divided into digital oscilloscopes and analog oscilloscopes


Oscilloscope is a widely used electronic measuring instrument. It can transform invisible electrical signals into visible images, which is convenient for people to study the changing process of various electrical phenomena. The oscilloscope uses narrow electron beams composed of high-speed electrons to hit the screen coated with fluorescent materials, which can produce tiny light spots (which is the working principle of traditional analog oscilloscopes). Under the action of the measured signal, the electron beam acts as the pen tip of a pen, which can depict the instantaneous change curve of the measured signal on the screen. The oscilloscope can be used to observe the waveform curves of different signal amplitudes varying with time. It can also be used to test various electric quantities, such as voltage, current, frequency, phase difference, amplitude modulation, etc.
The oscilloscope is an electronic measuring instrument which converts the alternating signal which can not be directly observed by human eyes into an image by using the characteristics of the electronic oscilloscope and displays it on the fluorescent screen for measurement. It is an indispensable and important instrument for observing experimental phenomena of digital circuits, analyzing problems in experiments and measuring experimental results. The oscilloscope consists of oscilloscope tube and power supply system, synchronization system, X-axis deflection system, Y-axis deflection system, delay scanning system and standard signal source.
The analog oscilloscope uses an analog circuit (oscilloscope tube, which is based on an electron gun) to emit electrons to the screen. The electrons emitted are focused to form an electron beam and hit the screen. The inner surface of the screen is coated with fluorescent material so that the dots hit by the electron beam emit light.
Digital oscilloscope is a high-performance oscilloscope produced by a series of technologies such as data acquisition, A/D conversion, software programming and so on. Digital oscilloscopes generally support multi-level menus, which can provide users with a variety of choices and analysis functions. There are also some oscilloscopes that can provide storage for waveform preservation and processing.

The relative magnitude of the waveform amplitude displayed on the oscilloscope is used to reflect the relative magnitude of the maximum voltage added on the Y deflection plate of the oscilloscope, thus reflecting the magnitude of the maximum alternating electromotive force generated in electromagnetic induction. Therefore, the oscilloscope can be used to study the relationship between induction electromotive force and its producing conditions.
