OTTAWA, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- A disgruntled ex-employee walked into his former company's Christmas party in Canada's Vancouver and opened fire, killing one man, reports reaching here said Saturday.
The 61-year-old gunman then gave himself up to police, about two hours after the shooting took place, after talking on the phone with police negotiators, Vancouver police Const. Tim Fanning told reporters Saturday.
No one was held hostage and the gunman shot just one man, but the identity of the victim has not been confirmed.
The gunman was fired this past week by the health-product distribution company.
